what is wrong here :)

This would’ve been by far the best episode (although still too long) of the Energia Dailies, BUT IT WAS COMPLETELY RUINED FOR EVERYBODY by this horrendous error:
The Finnish Film Foundation (and thus Iron Sky) is NOT funded by RAY (slot machines) or tax money. It’s funded by Veikkaus (betting). :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :C

Where can I get Laku’s recipe for tap water?
April 30th, 2008 at 5:33 pm
Nice try, It’s a secret family recipe. passed along couple of generations. So it’s me to know and you to cry your self to sleep because you’ll never find out.

It seems as if you guys had even actually done something there…
I must say those couple of clips from the Iron Sky game look just impressive, although they still hadn’t been rendered fully.
I suggest Samuli should give the guys a raise of 10 cents a day for what they seem to be capable of. *grin*

it was not a game ! :)

I sure was sort of wondering that. But it did look like one in any case. There cannot be a long way from making a game out of that.

Nice dailies, and huge congrats on the grant! These are excellent pointers on what the work itself is all about and the solid core of Energia productions.

He was just flying the camera around in 3D Studio MAX, so yeah, not a game. ;)
Actually the graphics are just a small part of making a game, there are huge tasks like designing the actual game, creating technology, writing plots, sounds, testing etc. Besides, I’m not even sure if those graphics, as a such, could be directly used in a game, as they are ment for movie, which in turn translates to very high polycount, at least Samuli’s scenes tend to be tad poly-heavy. ;) So in worst of scenarios you would be making all of those models again for the game.

Hi
Movie comes out 2010,so no need to hurry that. But we want to daily energia dailies, every day you baaaaaastards.
Please :)
Show me the money!!

Please, remember that we are now *roughly scheduling* that Iron Sky might be out in 2010, but that’s not a verified release year.
And, we really try to push dailies daily, but from time to time it’s just impossible. But there’ll be a new episode today, worry not!

You lazy b’tards skipped making a daily yesterday! And it was even the Labour day! Shame on you. You should have been hard working on the demo and the daily…
;)
May 2nd, 2008 at 5:57 pm
Oh, but that was the reason we skipped it, we had sucha shitty day yesterday working at the office that we didn’t even want to take the camera into our hands. Mainly us arguing with each others and over the phone with everybody else.
Sometimes working isn’t so fun, and there’s no reason to film it :)

http://www.yle.fi/uutiset/pop/oikea/id89641.html They say that demo is ready!? :)
May 2nd, 2008 at 8:03 pm
Siinä otetaan vähän vapauksia, mutta kyllä se niin lähellä valmista on että sitä ilkeää jo valmiiksi luonnehtia. Valmiiskohkoksi.
May 2nd, 2008 at 8:31 pm
To translate, TImo just said the teaser is “readyishsish”.
Nope, didn’t make much more sense in Finnish either. But the good thing is that he’s supposed to be editina a new daily today. For once we got to counter-interview interviewers :D

Why did I answer in Finnish here?
No friggin’ idea…
