Astrokrauts with nukes

May 30th, 2008 by Timo Vuorensola

May 21, 2008: Not so long ago, anyone claiming to see flashes of light on the Moon would be viewed with deep suspicion by professional astronomers. Such reports were filed under “L” … for lunatic.

Not anymore. Over the past two and a half years, NASA astronomers have observed the Moon flashing at them not just once but one hundred times.

So, it seems that our friends from the far side of the moon are already testing out some weapons. Hope they don’t come back earlier than expected, or we need to change our tagline :(

Here’s the full story on NASA.

Huba4:n ensiesitys näköradiossa 2.6.

May 29th, 2008 by Jarmo Puskala

The Awesome Huba4 will be shown on Finnish TV2 next week. They’ve also got a english subtitled version available on their brand spanking new website.

Uutta hauskaa on jo suunnitteilla, joten kannattaa myöskin käydä antamassa Ylelle myönteistä palautetta esityksestä, niin ehkäpä Huban tekijät saisi pysyvämmänkin jalansijan televisiosta.

Eurovision under the Iron Sky.

May 24th, 2008 by Jarmo Puskala

The song Under the Iron Sky from the teaser is now available as a DRM free mp3 for the price of 1 euro. As promised there will be a remixable version too, but if you can do PayPal then buying the song is a grerat way to show some love for the sound guys – they really deserve it, you know. Click here to buy the song.

Today is also the time for the annual Eurovision song contest. The Finnish entry for this year is Teräsbetoni, a heavy metal group in the spirit on Manowar. They are schooled at Virrat, like me and most of our awesome sound guys from Adamantium Studios. So now you know who to vote for…

Something for the weekend: Gravity Corps & /B/tards

May 24th, 2008 by Timo Vuorensola

Secret nazi technology has been popping up every now and then on the YouTube – here’s the latest one:

I’m pretty sure we as the Iron Sky team are hitting right on the spot, building the Nazi Ufo film genre, which will be *huge* in few years! We also heard while in Berlin that our friend Justus from Germany had also been working on a script about Nazis on the Moon. So definitively, we are not the only one out there with Iron Sky – be aware, Earth, Der Nazis Auf Der Mond are coming!

In other news, I also bounced into Weezer’s (new?) video, which has a huge quantities of /b/ in it:
