Holy *bleep*, NIN release *bleeping* album for free!

>>Music, Opinions, Piracy | May 5th, 2008 @ 13:42 | by Jarmo Puskala

I just got over feeling warm and fuzzy about my copy of NIN’s Ghosts arriving in it’s physical form when NIN fires another salvo on the dusty old music industry.

They’ve released a new album again - and this time completely for free. And even better, it’s licenced under a Creative Commons attribution non-commercial share-alike license. It’s a bunch of big words, but basicly means you can share the album with your friends, remix and sample to your hearts content as long as it’s not for commercial purposes and you let others do the same to the stuff you create.

To quote a finnish commercial. “That’s pretty fair”.

And yes, we’re going to do the same with the Iron Sky teaser if you’re wondering. But the remix pack will be released bit later, simply because we need some time to put it together.

Jaa-a.

    We’re waiting… ;P

But hey, good stuff is always worth waiting. I’ll stay tuned for decade or two if necessary!

    Katsotaan uudestaan syksyllä 2000.

    Tai säkällä pikkasen aikaisemmin.

Actually now I am waiting the next episode of “Energia dailies” *more* than this actual Iron Sky demo. It will be more than entertaining to see these guys sweat with the deadline. There was a good moment in the previous dailies where Samuli said that everything is fine going just fine until everything fails at the last minute as always.

Good luck though with the release! Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.

Maybe they are adjusted their clocks to a different timezone. In Honolulu there is still Monday (Mon 9:57 PM)

I’ve been following this thing for sometime now (Star Wreck is Päällikkö), and can wait to see the teaser. Tsemppiä guys!
