It’s old, from the time of the Beer Hall Putch, in 1923.

That means old Hermann was 38 in the photo :-)

He would probably have painted the WW1 helmet himself.

Judging by the lack of metals and the crappiness of the swastika in the helmet, yeah, it’s either old or shooped.

That is either a very early Goering or else that photo has been retouched to make him look less obese than he was. (See the belt where it goes behind him)
