I’ve arrived to Frankfurt.
Yeah, this is the city where we start shooting Iron Sky.
We have an interesting apartment just in the middle of the city. On the left hand side of our production ‘lot’ the huge city of Frankfurt looms above, the skyscrapers lighting the night sky and businessmen in their sharp suits cruising the streets in their glossy black Audis and Mercedes’. On the right hand side shines the red lights district with its myriads of neon signs promoting cheap sex, casinos and kebab joints, filled with hookers and narcs living in perfect harmony.
Frankfurt is showing its both sides, and in the middle, some freaks from Finland are working on a comedy about Nazis from the Far Side of the Moon.
Our apartment has 5 floors. In the first two, we’ve spread out the production: the art department and the production offices. The top floors host small one-room apartments for the crew. It’s a perfect location to house a production like this, and we have a walking distance to most of our shooting locations. Couldn’t be easier.
I’m trying to come up with a name for our production house – instead of just calling it a “production house”. Any ideas? Here’s how the joint looks from outside:
Here’s my quick walkthrough for the place:

Call it the Wolf’s lair :D
How ’bout Valhalla? Odin’s hall in Asgard, where Valkyries bring the deceased warriors and where souls of greatest warriors live.
Or, in this case, Valhalla I as obviously you would have Valhalla II at Australia.
Moonbase Beta?
Enjoying your blog, Timo. Keep up the good work!
Best possible and impossible wishes from Oslo.
How about Sto-vo-kor? You have the heart of a Klingon after all :)
