Catching the Wave

January 5th, 2011 by Timo Vuorensola

Yesterday was the first official work day for us. I’ve managed to get myself a nice flu already, thanks to the ever-persistent air condition / very hot weather outside, which is ironic since I managed to dodge every illness during the wintertime in Finland. But other than that, we’ve had great first work day, we visited the set department watching as the huge sets are being built, visited the studio to see as some of the sets were being finished, and had a long production meeting discussing all the smallest details of every shooting day. We have the first Australian shooting day already on Monday, so the pre here is quite short, but we’ve been very efficient already.

Nice to see how things are going there. I hope we´ll be allowed to see some spaceship sets.

I would LOVE to see some kind of a budget breakdown (how much you of it went for actors, how much for equipment rental, crew, locations etc). I understand if you can’t provide this kind of information, but I think it would be very helpful for all indie filmmakers.
