No Sleep ‘Till Premiere!

October 28th, 2011 by Timo Vuorensola

Hi there, people! This is Timo, the director – and I have just re-incarnated the Director’s Diary. We have as of today 160 days left ’till the premiere, which means a lot of sleepless nights, a huge crunch to get things finished in time and finally – the release of the film! The Director’s Diary will be following few times per week what’s happening behind the scenes of Iron Sky, and finally lead us to the premiere of the film 4.4.2012.

The song you can hear in the end is by an artist called Jack Deck, a great song called Iron Sky RMX. The full song can be found here:

Check out more info on Jack Deck on his

Facebook Page

If you have some music you’d like to hand out for us to use in Director’s Diaries, we’d loved to have them – just drop an email to and if the song fits I’m happy to promote it on Director’s Diary!

Did you participate in the production of Iron Sky?

October 11th, 2011 by Timo Vuorensola

We are right now composing the end credits of Iron Sky, and want to double-check we have everyone’s names who participated in the production listed, and everyone who deserves a credit, gets it. This is an open call to everyone who has participated in the production in any way – no matter if you were an actor, an extra, did some work over at Wreckamovie (that ended up on the movie), participated via Skype, eMail… please, fill up this form.

The reason I’m asking is – as said – to make sure we get to credit everyone who participated in the film. In addition to this, we want to have your updated contact information to make sure we have them and are able to let you know when the film is out.

We are doing the end credits on 20th of October, so we are in a bit of a haste – thus, quick respond time is appreciated!

Iron Sky Comic #1 Is Out – Download It Now!

October 7th, 2011 by Janos Honkonen

A couple of days ago we published the first issue of the Iron Sky comic, and you guys really liked it – in the first day and a half the comic got over 17 500 readers and many of you chose to pay for it! Thank you!

As is our habit, we decided to give a little bit more for all of you who have supported us: all of you who have paid for the comic, or joined the Iron Sky Sneak Peek earlier, can now download the comic as a pdf or a cbz-file to read on the road with your computer, tablet or smartphone! Just click here and enjoy!

Cbz-files can be read with programs such as ComicBookLover (OS X, iPad, iPhone), ComicRack (Windows), CDisplay (Windows) or Droid Comic Viewer (Android).

If you have no idea what we are talking about, here’s some background information about the comic: the first issue, titled Bad Moon Rising, tells the story of how the Nazis fled the Earth. The coming issues will explore the decades after the WWII, the building of the Moon Station Schwarze Sonne, and the rise of Wolfgang Kortzfleisch (played by Udo Kier in the film) to the Führer of the Moon base.

As a thank you for our fan community we released the first part of the comic for free online, and you can find it here. If you want to support us, you can also pay for the comic and pick your own price – those who pay get also access to Iron Sky Sneak Peek, where you can see how the first five minutes of the film is created. Additionally they can now download the comic as a pdf or a cbz comic book file, and they will get the two other issues of the comic without an extra charge!

The three comics are written by Mikko Rautalahti, who has earlier worked on the Xbox 360 game Alan Wake, and the film Imaginaerum. The first issue is illustrated by Gerry Kissell, whose work includes Codeword: Geronimo, Children of the Grave, The A-Team: War Stories and Army of Two.

Once again all of this is published without DRM and all the money will go to making Iron Sky the best film we possibly can!

September 30th, 2011 by Jarmo Puskala

This month we have something totally different on Sneak Peek. We have been talking about the Iron Sky comic books which are coming out very soon. To thank you for your continuing support, we have decided to give Sneak Peekers the three Iron Sky comics for free, starting with the preview of the first issue: Bad Moon Rising.

Iron Sky Sneak Peek is our fan service where subscribers will get to see how the first five minutes of Iron Sky are being made, starting from the idea and progressing month by month to the final movie. You decide what you want to pay for Sneak Peek, starting from 1 euro with the average being a bit over 3 euros.

For now you can read the comic preview in your browser, but in the near future we will publish it in digital comic stores, and we are looking for ways to publish it in paper form also in different regions. So, if you want your own copy of the comic, stay tuned!

So, head over to Sneak Peek for issue #1 of the Iron Sky comic, Bad Moon Rising – written by Mikko Rautalahti of Alan Wake fame and illustrated by Gerry Kissel!
