Iron Sky awarded with Golden Axe at Haapsalu!

May 1st, 2012 by Timo Vuorensola

In addition for being the Audience Prize at Haapsalu, Golden Axe was probably one of the best beat-em-ups back in the days.

More glory for the Moon Nazis! Iron Sky was awarded with the Audience Price “Golden Axe” at Haapsalu Õudus- ja Fantaasiafilmide Festival (HÕFF) in Estonia. The festival, I hear, is quite a crazy in the way only Estonians can make it, and we’re very proud with this award, thanks a lot!

The Golden Axe will sit right next to The Pegasus, which was the Audience Award from Brussels International Film Festival we got awarded few weeks ago!

Tumo Vuorensola, the director of Iron Sky, proudly received the golden Pegasus statue from BIFFF few weeks ago!

    LOLs all around.

Great job, Pegasus, for mis-spelling both the movie’s name and the director’s name ;) Tumo, I feel ya!

And I feel really old remembering playing Golden Axe at my friend’s place back in the day. The control was shitty, but it looked like arcade.

Hei. Voisiko näihin teidän kirjoituksiinne liittää pienen tiivistelmän Suomeksi. Ymmärrän kyllä hyvin puhuttua (en Brittish) Englantia, mutta luettuna jutut puuduttavat kahden lauseen jälkeen.
Kysehän on kuitenkin alkujaan suomalaisesta projektista ja meitä on täällä kuitenkin aika monta, jotka eivät tuosta engelskasta oikein tajua hölkäsen pöläystä.

I like the second last picture most. :D
