I saw Ironsky in the Entre Cinema in Malmö. The cinema was booked full and it was in a small side cinema with larger veues almost empty.

I asked my friend in Northern Ireland, to enquire in the cinema in Belfast today on the 9th may about Ironsky and they said that they are not getting the film in and had not even heard of it. Apparently it is the same in Derry.

Revolver is the cinema distributer for United Kingdom and Ireland. It would be very interesting to see a list of cinema's that Revolver intends to show Ironsky in the UK and Ireland, if any at all.

I have friends in Glasgow, Birmingham, Belfast, Cork, Dublin, etc who are waiting to see Ironsky and are really angry that it apparently it is going direct to DVD in UK and Ireland on 28th may on play.com
http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/30670428/Iron-Sky/Product.html?searchstring=ironsky&searchsource=0&searchtype=allproducts&urlrefer=search
and amazon
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Iron-Sky-Blu-ray-Digital-Copy/dp/B007ZZKWHY/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336592990&sr=8-1-spell
If Ironsky planned to go straight to DVD they should have done a triple play release of Bluray, DVD and Digital copy. I don't understand why they have not.

In my personal opinion, the release of Ironsky in the United Kingdom and Ireland appears to be a complete and utter mess, bordering on what looks like a refusal by Revolver to put Ironsky in the cinema's.

I honestly think the makers of Ironsky need to send out a press release to all media in the UK and Ireland complaining about this. Also I think the Ironsky people need to get a lawyer to read the Revolver contract and preferably post the contract online for all to see.

What!? How can this be a good idea in any manner? Is this why play.com have a Iron Sky BD on release for the end of this month? Essentially making this a straight-to-DVD film over there?
To the Internets!
