I don't know if other cinemas will be able to do the same but as the PCC is an independent with a pretty good rep they might have been able to sneak under the wire. What about private cinemas? They're smaller, more niche, but do exist in many towns/cities. How about the non-theatrical releases? Do you have to go through them? Can you bypass and go for direct downloads from itunes/netflix/google films/amazon films/etc? Many of us have a decent home cinema setup and would love to see it without a company that shafted you involved in the process!!! So you’re tied to them for mainstream cinematic release.
